In developing the technology one crucial requirement was to make it as flexible and scalable as possible in order to meet customer needs. The result is an impressive solution that gives customers a product that is easy to integrate in an established production line with a flexibility of throughput of liquid. Oxy Solutions currently offers the technology in three different sizes depending on the capacity required by the customer, with similar specifications. The technology has very few known limitations, however it is an underlying assumption that the substance is liquid, setting some requirements to the viscosity.
During the development process Oxy Solutions has also developed a good understanding for issues that may influence the oxygen levels in a production line, as well as the understaning of how to maintain a high oxygen level in a liquid by selecting a packaging technology that is suitable.
The Core of our Solution
The oxygenation platform consist of two systems that contributes to the Oxy Biosystem efficient solution of oxygen and production of nanobubbles.
When water and oxygen is mixed there is no need for a membrane system to form small bubbles. The oxygen hose is protected with a backflow valve, but the first step of solving oxygen into the water is through a simple oxygen tube. Some of the oxygen is solved in the water, but the real advantage of the first part in Oxy Biosystem is the creation of turbulence, helping the oxygen dissolve further.
After the oxygen is mixed with water in turbulence, the mixture is lead into a venturi. The venturi is a constriction of the tube that reduced the water pressure but increases the flow. After the constricted part of the venturi, the diameter is increased; increasing the pressure but reducing the flow speed. During this process nanobubbles are generated by supersaturated cavitation.
